Frequently Asked Questions with Answers

PLEASE NOTE: Most questions are answered below. If you have a question not answered below please contact your Account Manager (the person from whom you purchased your traffic).

How is the traffic on this system delivered and where does the traffic come from?

All websites are delivered via our Ad Server. Our Ad Server is actually a unique url that all source traffic is delivered to, and then websites on our Ad Server are shown in rotation.

The source traffic is what is known as raw bulk traffic. We buy traffic in large quantities, including excess traffic, and therefore get large discounts. Those discounts have been passed on to you. It is much like being part of a large advertising cooperative. You benefit with lower prices but you are expected to be certain your traffic campaigns comply with all of the Terms of Service or your campaign will be removed.

The source traffic can be from Exit Exchanges, Expired Domains, Popunders, Redirects, Traffic Exchanges, etc. We never use Spam or Bulk Email.

It is possible that any stats system on your website may show that all of your traffic is coming from our Adserver.

Can I see an example of the Ad Server?

How do I add a traffic campaign to my account?

Adding a traffic campaign is extremely easy to do. In your Control Panel you will first check your site to make sure it is not a frame breaker and that t does not have pop or exit windows, sound, rotator, redirects etc. If your website is OK, click on the button Add New Campaign in the Menu Bar near the top of the Control Panel main page, then:
1. Enter your website url. (The http:// part has already been added for you).
2. Enter a short one or two word Campaign Title so that you will be able to easily identify this campaign. This is for your information only and will not be shown to anyone else.
3. Click on the Create Campaign button.

After your campaign has been submitted it will be reviewed within one business day by the Traffic Network Administrator. You will receive a confirmation email from support@pop-traffic.com when your campaign has been Approved. If your Campaign is not Approved for a violation of our Terms Of Service (see TERMS in Menu bar) it will be deleted and you will lose traffic credits from your Traffic Account. Serious violations may result in termination of your Traffic Account and loss of all of your credits (see Terms for more information).

How can I tell how much traffic is being delivered to my website?

All Advertisers receive access to an Individual Control Panel so that they can manage their traffic campaigns by adding new campaigns or modifying existing traffic campaigns.
You can also track the stats of traffic delivered to your campaign from your CP. You will see stats showing the total amount of traffic sent to your campaigns on a daily basis as well as for the week. Your remaining credits will be an indication of how many total hits were received since your campaign(s) began.

What does the term "Hits" mean?

Hits are the total number of visitors that see your website(s).
Our ad server is shown across many traffic networks. Each network represents a unique "hit" but many people on that network may actually see your site and would be counted as a Hit.

I am certain that my campaign was working correctly and I had hits recorded to the campaign. Now it shows 0. What happened?

You should monitor your website and then pause your campaign in the event that your server is down or you have exceeded your bandwidth. We monitor all campaigns daily and any website that does not contain any content (server down, can't find server, bandwith exceeded, etc.) is removed from the Adserver. Any time a campaign is removed from the Adserver all stats for that campaign are also removed (essentially reset to "0" for the Today or This Week stats).
If your campaign has been removed because of no content, any credits that were assigned to that campaign by you will be placed back in your traffic account. If your campaign was removed because of a Terms violation, you will lose substantial traffic credits and your Traffic Account may be terminated.

How can I manage my credits ?

Just click on the [Manage Credits] link in your Control Panel (CP).
You can manage credits for your profile and transfer credits to your campaigns. Also you can store credits for future use.
To place credits to your profile basket from some of the campaigns click Store button, and to transfer credits from basket to some of your campaigns click Add button.
If credits reserved to a campaign drop below 0, that campaign will receive no traffic until credits are raised again above 0.

What is the time frame for delivery of traffic to the traffic campaigns?

All traffic campaigns are on run-of-the-network basis and is open-ended delivery date. This means that, as long as your traffic campaign is in good standing and in compliance with our TERMS OF SERVICE, your campaign will remain on the network until you have received all traffic credits that have been assigned to it. The minimum delivery time is likely to be 60 days for most of the smaller sized campaigns. Campaigns that have been assigned larger number of traffic credits will take longer.

How can I buy additional credits for more traffic to my campaigns?

We only sell traffic through Authorized Resellers. Please contact your Traffic Account Manager (the person from whom you bought your original traffic) and let them know you need additional traffic credits added to your account.

A note about Counters on your website:

We only rely on our tracking for the number of hits sent to your website. Our tracking is the most accurate because the "hit counts" are incremented at the same exact time a visitor is sent to your site. Unlike 3rd party counters, we don't have any load time to worry about. There are an enormous amount of counters with various load rates and it is impossible to accomodate each customer's counter. For example, some counters take as much as 30 seconds to count a visitor (some even more). We cannot control the behavior of the user/surfer, or force them to stay on the site a certain length of time. If they choose to 'close out' prior to your counter load, it is still considered a delivered visitor. This is how we are charged by the networks that supply traffic, which leaves no other option but to charge our customers in the same manner.
